The Austin Fire Department pulled a car out of Lake Austin Monday afternoon.

AFD officials said someone drove the car into the lake Sunday night.

They do not know exactly what happened but said this type of situation is not uncommon.

AFD said the individual driving the car managed to get out and there was no one else inside when emergency medical services arrived.
