The Lower Colorado River Authority announced Monday afternoon that they would open three flood gates at Mansfield Dam on Lake Travis.

The first gate will open at 5pm, the second at 7pm, and the third at 9pm.

The open gates will release excess flood water from rain that fell in the last 48 hours.

Flood gates downstream at Tom Miller Dam opened earlier on Monday to release water.

1-2 inches of rain fell over the Highland Lake watershed the night of May 29-30 according to the LCRA.
