A teenager who was rescued from Lake Travis on Tuesday afternoon died at the hospital on Wednesday morning.

According to the Travis County Sheriff’s Office, Sylvia Koffa, 18, was swimming at Bob Wentz Park on Lake Travis when she went under. Witnesses say Koffa was underwater for 15-20 minutes before rescuers were able to get her out of the water.

Paramedics were able to regain a pulse on the teen and transported via STAR Flight to Round Rock Medical Center, where she passed away.

An autopsy report will determine Koffa’s official cause of death.
