HS Volleyball Hits the Court

It is that time of the year, not for football season just yet, but high school volleyball is already in preseason tournament action. Westwood High School held their second annual preseason tournament with several schools from around the state and especially around Austin.

The Bowie varsity volleyball team won their first match, but were then beat by San Antonio Reagan, 25-17, 25-13 to end their tournament run.

The Lake Travis Cavaliers beat Allen 25-12, 25-23 on their way to a championship appearance. They eventually fell to San Antonio Reagan in the Championship game.

Dripping Springs was impressive in their second match against Clear Brook. They beat the Wolverines 25-19, 25-18 in straight sets. They would go on to win the silver bracket championship by beating San Antonio Churchill.
