Westlake, Westwood, Georgetown, Lake Travis in region finals

Westlake def. San Antonio Southwest 25-9, 25-11, 25-17: Westlake (37-6) answered every challenge posed by San Antonio Southwest, romping to a Region IV-5A semifinals win, setting up today's championship match against San Antonio O'Connor.
Westwood def. A&M Consolidated 25-15, 25-12, 25-20: Westwood (40-5) used a blazing start for a two-game lead, then completed a sweep of A&M Consolidated in Region II-5A play at Huntsville, sending the winners to today's championship game against district rival Georgetown.
Georgetown def. Lake Highlands 25-18, 25-17, 25-21:Georgetown (38-7) continued its march through the Region II-5A playoffs with a sweep of Richardson Lake Highlands, setting up the Lady Eagles for a championship match against Westwood.
Lake Travis def. Uvalde 25-15, 25-23, 25-12: Lake Travis (46-3) used a whirlwind start to establish control, moving past Uvalde (30-9) to reach the Region IV-4A finals at noon today at Texas-San Antonio.
Seguin def. Edcouch-Elsa 25-15, 25-17, 25-7: Seguin (30-13) played consistently all the way to blast Edcouch-Elsa, spurring the Lady Matadors to the Region IV-4A finals against Lake Travis.
Fredericksburg def. Columbus 13-25, 26-24, 26-24, 25-23: Outplayed in the opening game, Fredericksburg (33-8) regrouped to win three consecutive games by two-point margins, sending the winners to the Region IV-3A finals against Wimberley.
Wimberley def. Needville 25-21, 25-11, 25-15: Wimberley (32-13), after squeaking through the first game, had things its own way the rest of the way in conquering Needville, sending the Lady Texans to the Region IV-3A championship match against Fredericksburg.
Abilene Wylie def. Liberty Hill 25-27, 26-24, 25-15, 25-22: Abilene Wylie surrendered early momentum to Liberty Hill (24-15), but then roared back to win three consecutive games for a win in the Region I-3A semifinals in Lubbock. Wylie will face Monahans, which beat Burnet in the other semifinal.
Caldwell def. Carthage 25-19, 25-16, 25-14: Caldwell, a former state champion, continued its march toward another crown by rolling past Carthage in the Region III-3A semifinals in Bryan. Caldwell will meet Mexia for the regional title.
Mexia def. Cameron Yoe 16-25, 25-23, 25-19, 25-22: Mexia (33-11) weathered a slow start, snapping back to conquer Cameron Yoe (32-10), sending the winners to today's Region III-3A championship match against Caldwell.
Shiner def. Granger 15-25, 25-17, 25-8, 25-10: Shiner regrouped to win three consecutive games and take a Region IV-1A semifinals match in Brenham. Shiner will meet Louise in today's title match.
