Search crews have recovered a body from Lake Travis near the area where a 32-year-old male swimmer went missing Saturday.

Officials say the man was in town from Houston visiting the lake with a church group. He was swimming across a cove in the waters off Bob Wentz Park Saturday afternoon when he told his friends he was going to turn around.

Officials say a witness contacted 911 around 2 p.m. after they heard the man call out for help. A few minutes later, he went under.

Last Sunday, a young man drowned in the same area. His body was recovered two days later after search crews struggled to find him in deep water.

Officials with the Lower Colorado River Authority are warning swimmers to be more cautious at the lake. They say low water levels are making swimming more dangerous.
