According to an Internet report, Hendrickson junior Kenny Williams has verbally committed to Texas Tech. Rivals.com reported that Williams was one of three recruits to commit to the Red Raiders over the weekend.

An All-Central Texas first team honoree in 2009, Williams ran for 1,850 yards and 20 touchdowns. As a sophomore, Williams ran for 1,545 yards and 15 touchdowns as Hendrickson reached the state quarterfinals.

According to Rivals.com, Williams had scholarship offers from eight other schools. He chose Texas Tech over schools like Kansas State, West Virginia and Illinois. Tulsa, which recently hired former Lake Travis coach Chad Morris as its co-offensive coordinator, also reportedly offered Williams a scholarship.

Williams is the third Central Texas junior to commit to Texas Tech this year. The Red Raiders have already secured the services of Lake Travis quarterback Michael Brewer and Ellison linebacker Devin Hocutt.
