Gusty Winds, Small Chance for Rain with Front

Very warm, breezy southerly winds this afternoon will be replaced with drier, slightly cooler northerly ones Monday morning as the front moves through. There’s also a very small chance (20%) of a few showers/t-storms as the front passes Austin before noon.  Unfortunately, the best chance for rain will be to our NE.

Behind the front, drier air works in.  Skies will begin to clear but it’ll stay breezy with N winds 15-25 mph.

With the lower dewpoints and breezy conditions Monday afternoon, there’s a high fire danger. The NWS office has issued a Red Flag Warning that will go into effect 9 a.m. Monday morning. A Red Flag Warning means fires will be difficult to control.
