The Boerne Champion volleyball season came to an end Friday night at the hands of state power Lake Travis in Wimberley.

It's the second year in a row that the Lady Cavs have knocked the Lady Chargers out of the postseason.

They did it last year in three games and did it again Friday in three games, sweeping Boerne Champion, 25-23, 25-16, 25-18.

Sarah Wallace led the team with eight kills and four blocks, Hayden Higgins added 17 assists, Claire Kreuz served up an ace, while Ashlea McLelland totaled 21 digs.

It was the final match for five seniors, Jacy McCorkle, Ashlea McLelland, Catherine Mazurek, Sarah Wallace and Kristal Reser.

The team finishes the year with a 29-11 record.
