Barton Springs Pool reopens Tuesday

Barton Springs Pool at 2131 William Barton Dr. in Zilker Park will reopen on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, for its regularly scheduled early morning "swim at your own risk" sessions. The popular natural spring-fed pool in Austin had been closed since June 15 due to heavy rain and flash flooding.

City officials confirmed the reopening after conditions improved, allowing swimmers to return under the modified hours of operation (daily 5 a.m.–8 a.m. for the early swim). The closure was a precautionary measure following the severe weather earlier in the month.
