Freshman Colin Butschek has been named the American Southwest Conference West Division Pitcher of the Week, according to a statement released on Tuesday by ASC Director of Media Relations Greg Weghorst.

Butschek made only one appearance last week for the Tornados.  However, he proceeded to throw a complete-game shutout against the conference's top scoring club, Sul Ross State.  The Lake Travis High School product scattered six hits and struck out six en route to his third win of the season.  He did not allow a hit after the fourth inning.

Butschek leads the Tornados in wins and is tied for second on the staff with 23.0 innings pitched.

Concordia will return to action on Friday, March 26 at Hardin-Simmons in Abilene.  First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m.
