Kept off balance early in the match, Westwood's volleyball team won the last two games of a Region II-5A quarterfinal battle to defeat The Woodlands College Park.

Amari Deardorff recorded 15 kills for Westwood (39-5) while Sierra Patrick added 14. Christine Uhlenhop and Jessie Mundfrom each had 17 digs for the Warriors in the 25-20, 25-27, 16-25, 25-18, 15-10 victory. Kaleigh Colson finished with 48 assists.

Westwood advanced to Friday's regional tournament in Huntsville.
