USA Volleyball announced that Lake Travis freshman Amy Neal is on the U.S. Girls’ Youth National Training Team.

The 19-member team began to train on Saturday and will conclude Tuesday at the U.S. Olympic Training Center at Chula Vista, Calif. The roster will be trimmed to the 12-player U.S. Girls’ Youth National Team which will represent the United States at the 2009 FIVB Girls’ Youth World Championship July 3-12 at Nakhonratchasima, Thailand.

A middle blocker, she is the only player on the training team that is a high school freshman.
