Another Central Texas athlete is heading to Fort Worth.

According to multiple media outlets, Hendrickson junior Daje Johnson has decided to play college football at Texas Christian University. Rivals.com reported on Friday that Baylor, Houston and Kansas State also offered the Hendrickson running back a scholarship.

Last season, Johnson rushed for 980 yards and had 1,372 all-purpose yards. The second team all-district honoree scored 12 touchdowns.

Johnson, who is listed on Rivals.com as an “athlete”, joins a recruiting class that also includes Lake Travis junior wide receiver Griffin Gilbert.

Lago Vista senior defensive lineman Austin Terry signed with the Horned Frogs in February and during this past season, 11 Central Texas alums were on the roster of a TCU team that went 13-0 and won the Rose Bowl.
