Looking for something fun to do this Halloween weekend?  There are many events taking place around Austin that are fun for the whole family!

Halloween Festivities near Lake Travis, TX


October 29th


6:00pm-8:00pm

Dove Springs Halloween at Dove Springs Recreation Center, 512-447-5875. FREE. Carnival booths, Music, and Arts & Crafts. An inclusive community experience serving all ages. Small refreshments available free of charge. With live entertainment.

3:00pm-5:00pm

Fall Carnival at Virginia L. Brown Recreation Center, 512-974-7865. Free. Games booths will be provided by APD,HHS,APL, and AISD.

6:00pm-7:00pm

Halloween Spooktacular at South Austin Recreation Center, 512-444-6601. Cost: $1. Celebrate Halloween with a stroll through our trick or treat path and a fun family Halloween carnival. Designed for children ages 3-12.

3:00pm-5:00pm

Halloween Carnival at Givens Recreation Center, 512-928-1982. Come and enjoy Halloween with a fall carnival for the youth. Games, candy and fun!!!

10:00am-12:00pm

Trick-or-Treat Bingo at South Austin Senior Activity Center Center, 512-448-0787. Cost: $5. Fun, Food and Friendship: We’ll play twelve rounds of bingo with fabulous prizes awarded to the winners. Come in your Halloween costume - Prizes awarded to the best costumes. Ticket price includes: Six (6) Paper Bingo Cards per game, a Dauber and Refreshments .

5:30pm-8:00pm

Costume Ball and Ghoulish Party at McBeth Recreation Center, 512-974-9011. Carnival booths, Music, and Costume Contest. An inclusive community experience serving all ability levels and ages. $3.00 per person. Volunteers are also needed for this fun event!

2:00pm-4:00pm

Halloween Party at Conley Guerrero Senior Activity Center Center, 512-478-7695.



October 30th


6:00pm-8:00pm

Halloween at Turner Roberts Recreation Center, 512-926-6013. Halloween games and activities for the community. There will also be a costume contest for ages 3-5; 6-8;9-12 along with snacks.

3:00pm-10:00pm

Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) at The Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center, 512-974-3770. Free. Family Activities, Classic Car show, ofrendas (altar) exhibits and live music by JEZ and MAKING MOVIES beginning at 6PM. This ritual of honoring the dead has been observed by Mexico and other Latin American countries for centuries.

2:00pm-5:00pm

Pumpkin Carving Carnival at Parque Zaragoza Recreation Center, 512-472-7142. Carnival games, music, haunted house and a pumpkin to carve per family to take home. $0.50 per ticket.



November 2nd


10:00am-12:00pm

Dia de los Muertos at Conley Guerrero Senior Activity Center Center, 512-478-7695. Cultural celebration of the "Day of the Dead"
