Emergency crews were searching for a missing swimmer on Lake Travis on Thursday.

Austin-Travis County EMS and Lake Travis Fire & Rescue were called to the lake near Paradise Cove just before 7 p.m. to search for the 24-year-old man.  According to the Travis County Sheriff's Office, the man either fell or jumped off of an idling motorboat.

The man is believed to have been wearing a life jacket, but it may have fallen off when he hit the water.

Recovery efforts were continuing Thursday evening.  The man's name has not been released.
