City closes Barton Springs Pool after heavy rains

Barton Springs Pool is closed today because of debris carried in by Thursday’s creek-swelling rainfall. Crews have begun removal of the debris, the city parks department said, and will assess the pool’s condition daily for reopening. The parks department said that the schedule for Deep Eddy Pool off of Lake Austin Boulevard will be altered to accommodate those who usually swim at Barton Springs.
