Lucy’s Fried Chicken will open in the former Iguana Grill space (2900 RM 620) overlooking Lake Travis. The restaurant with the down-home old-school Texas vibe will feature a similar to menu to the Burnet Road and original South Austin locations, chef-owner James Holmes said, with a few “lake-y specials.” Holmes says he is expanding the bar and adding an events space, outdoor bar and oyster station at the restaurant that will offer plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Holmes says he is planing an early fall opening.
