Fort Worth Police Department spokesman Pedro Criado said Cristina McCann will surrender Monday, charged with the second-degree felony of improper relationship between educator and student.

District officials placed McCann on paid administrative leave while they investigated the incident in early May, but she later resigned on May 12.

Though district officials were investigating the case along with the Travis County Sheriff's Office, school officials ended their investigation after McCann resigned.

Meanwhile, Travis County Sheriff's Office spokesman Roger Wade said on May 16 that county officials were still investigating, though no charges had been filed at that time.

McCann's bond is set at $10,000, and KXAN News will have more information once she is arrested and her warrant is unsealed.
