If Longview’s football team defeats Denton Guyer in a Class 4A Division I state semifinal on Saturday in Dallas, the Lobos would return to Floyd Casey Stadium in Waco to play the state championship game. According to Longview coach John King, the championship game will begin at 6 p.m. on Dec. 19.

Longview played in the 2008 Class 4A Division I state championship at Floyd Casey Stadium, dropping a 48-23 decision to Lake Travis. Lake Travis and Pearland Dawson play in the other state semifinal on Saturday in College Station.

King said both Lake Travis and Dawson have agreed to play at Floyd Casey Stadium if Longview wins. King said he did not know where the state-championship game would be if Guyer defeats Longview.
