It’ll join neighbors such as Uncle Billy’s Brew & Cue and Soleil at the relatively new Oasis Texas Village, a retail and restaurant complex surrounding the landmark Oasis restaurant.

As part of the new venture, Austin Java is unveiling a new store concept called Austin Chill — a self-serve frozen yogurt shop.

The new locations will be smaller than the typical Austin Java stores. They’ll be located in suites 109 and 110 at 6550 Comanche Trail.

Austin Java and the new Austin Chill are both managed by Austin-based Restaurant Freedom.

The company’s managing partner, Mark Turner said he’s excited about having both concepts at the Oasis complex. He’s also counting on coffee business from the new Winter Wonderland ice skating rink planned for the winter months at the Lake Travis site.

Restaurant Freedom also services 32 other bars and restaurants in the Austin area.
