Did you lose a dock or a Jet Ski on Lake Travis during the storm? It might’ve ended up in Lago Vista.

That upper part of Lake Travis was a junkyard of debris on Sunday, said Lago Vista resident Joan Davis.

She snapped some photos and sent them to the Statesman to show just how much muck was now mired around that part of the lake near where the rain-swollen Pedernales River empties into Lake Travis.

rees and assorted whatnot got washed into the lake, and with the lake there being fairly shallow, the debris had no place to go and got stuck.

The Lower Colorado River Authority, which opened floodgates at Max Starcke Dam to allow more water to flow into Lake Travis a few miles upstream from Lago Vista, says it projects that the lake will reach 648 to 651 feet above sea level over the next day. The lake was at 630 feet two weeks ago, and 638 feet on Friday.

The LCRA also warns boaters about the possibility of debris in the lake. If you don’t believe ‘em, just check out the photos.
