Federal offices: Closed Friday.

State offices: Most open Friday, but some agencies might be closed Friday or Saturday. Check with individual agencies.

County offices: Burnet, Caldwell, Hays, Llano, Travis and Williamson county offices will be closed Friday.

City offices: Closed Friday.

Banks, savings and loans:Regular hours Friday; most observe the holiday Saturday.

Buses: CARTS buses will not run Friday; Cap Metro buses will run on a regular schedule Friday and Saturday.

Colleges and universities: Austin Community College campuses will be closed Saturday. Concordia University Texas will not have classes through Friday. Huston-Tillotson University will be closed Friday. St. Edward's University classes do not meet Friday or Saturday.

Garbage collection and landfills: Eco Depot and the Williamson County Landfill will be closed Saturday. Austin Community, Texas Disposal Systems and Travis County landfills will have regular hours.

Libraries: Austin, Bee Cave, Buda, Burnet, Elgin, Florence, Georgetown, Hutto, Kingsland, Lago Vista, Leander, Llano, Lockhart, Luling, Marble Falls, Pflugerville, San Marcos, Smithville and Taylor libraries will be closed Friday and Saturday. Bastrop, Bertram, Cedar Park, Jonestown and Lakeshore libraries will be closed Friday. Dripping Springs, Kyle, Lake Travis, Liberty Hill, Round Rock, Wells Branch, Westbank and Wimberley libraries closed Saturday.

Mail service: Most post offices close at noon Friday. The main center at 8225 Cross Park Drive will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the following post offices will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Balcones Station, 11900 Jollyville Road; Bluebonnet Station, 1822 W. Braker Lane; Oakhill Station, 6104 Old Fredericksburg Road; and Mockingbird Station, 7310 Manchaca Road.

All post offices will be closed Saturday, and only express mail will be delivered.

Schools: No summer school classes meet Friday. Leander school district summer school classes will not meet Thursday or Friday.
