The body of a 19-year-old man was recovered from Lake Travis Monday afternoon after a water rescue.

Police said they received a call around 3:41 p.m. about the teenager in the water at 1300 Emerald Road. He was recovered in front of a dock near Lago Vista.

This area in Lago Vista is described as the 25-mile marker on the 62 mile Lake Travis. The current in the lake is described as quite strong.

Neighbors say people were jumping off docks earlier and that someone just didn't come up. They sounded the alert horn around 2 p.m.

Travis County ESD 1 had a boat in the water, and StarFLIGHT was dispatched to the area to help out in the search.

After a search effort with Travis County and Lago Visto fire and police departments, they switched to recovery and did find the body.
