The win not only gives the ‘Stangs a sweep of Lake Travis for the season and a playoff berth, it also sealed the first-ever undefeated season at home for the ‘Stangs.
“It’s big because I wanted it for the seniors,” coach Michael Nave said. “For them, an undefeated season at home was something they wanted and they deserved. It’s a little bit sweeter because Lake Travis played one whale of a ballgame. So to go out there and earn it like they had to was great.”
Carter Robertson scored a pair of goals, both in breakaway situations, to provide the scoring difference for the ‘Stangs, who had struggled with a change in the Lake Travis attack in the first half.
