Lake Travis football standout Colin Lagasse has committed to Southern Methodist

Versatile Lake Travis football standout Colin Lagasse has committed to Southern Methodist, Cavaliers coach Hank Carter said. This past season as a junior, Lagasse rushed for 517 yards, caught 25 passes and scored 20 offensive touchdowns. Along with intercepting three passes as a defensive back, Lagasse filled in at quarterback for three games while regular starter Michael Brewer was sidelined with an injury. ... Hendrickson junior Daje Johnson has committed to play football for Texas Christian, Rivals.com reported. Last season, Johnson finished with 1,372 all-purpose yards, rushing for 980. He scored 12 touchdowns. Lake Travis junior wide receiver Griffin Gilbert also has committed to TCU. ... Vista Ridge junior golfer Blake Stasiunas, who recently won the Jimmy Balander Memorial tournament, has committed to the University of Oklahoma. "I didn't think I was going to make the decision as quickly as I did, then I visited Oklahoma and all the schools fell out of the picture," Stasiunas told the Cedar Park Citizen. "Norman is a lot like Cedar Park-Leander; you can drive 20 minutes and be in Oklahoma City or drive 15 minutes the other direction and be in the farmland. It's the best of both worlds." ... Westlake senior running back Van Gramann plans to sign with Fort Lewis College, an NCAA Division II school in Durango, Colo. This past season, Gramann rushed for 532 yards and seven TDs and caught 16 passes for 58 yards and two scores.
