Emergency crews have located a man's body in Lake Austin at Pennybacker Bridge on Loop 360.

According to police, officers responded to an urgent welfare check call from somebody on the lake. Officers found a body in the water near the boat landing when they arrived on scene.

Austin-Travis County EMS officials say the man was in his 30s. His identity has not been released, and his body will be taken to the Travis County Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy.

Homicide detectives are investigating, which officers say is standard procedure.
