Cedar Park (11-0) has already checked off another one of their goals after beating LBJ in their 4A bi-district game last Thursday.   The Timberwolves were anxious to get the sting of last years first round playoff loss out of the memory.  Now its on to the 2nd round against one of the states traditional powers in Smthson Valley (10-1) on friday night at Bobcat Stadium in San Marcos.

"For us seniors, we don't want it to end," senior wide receiver Dylan Cox said. "It starts in practice. Everyone is keeping each other focused in practice. And that's the biggest thing."

"We have tremendous leaders, we have a bunch of unselfish young men that set their minds to the task at hand and they did it in November, they did it in February, they did it in August and they're still doing it," said head coach Chris Ross.

The Timberwolves high powered offense may be up against their toughest test.  Smithson Valley has not allowed an offensive touchdown in their last five games.

Cedar Park ended the regular season with a win at three time defending champion Lake Travis to wrap up the district title outright.  The two schools have some work to do, but could see each other in the regional finals.  Lake Travis will face Kerrville Tivy, a team they beat during the regular season without starting quarterback Michael Brewer, on Friday night in San Antonio.
