State championships are heading home to Blanco and Lake Travis.

The Central Texas area won two doubles titles on Tuesday at the state tennis tournament. At the World of Tennis in Lakeway, Blanco’s Austin Carrola and Kelsey Schwind won the Class 2A mixed doubles title while Lake Travis’ Conor O’Rourke and Austin Mayo took home the Class 4A boys doubles championship at the Penick-Allison Tennis Center.

Carrola and Schwind beat Wall’s Bryce Pfingsten and Emily Talley in straight sets to win their championship. O’Rourke and Mayo used a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Mongomery’s Brad Hinkle and Hunter Ward to win their title.

New Braunfels had a chance to win two state championships on Tuesday but Tanner Brown lost to Mansfield’s Andrew Korinek in the Class 5A boys singles championship match and the duo of Liza Fieldsend and Beau Fieldsend lost a three-set match in the Class 5A mixed doubles finale.
