Lake Travis ISD announced on Friday that the school district had hired Magnolia assistant coach Jennifer Kazmierski to lead the Lady Cavaliers volleyball program. Kazmierski replaces Julie Green, who left for Coppell after leading Lake Travis to its first-ever state championship.

This will be the third head coaching job for the 34-year-old Kazmierski, who led Bryan’s varsity program from 2001-02 before coaching at A&M Consolidated for two seasons. Kazmierski has also served as the head coach of a Houston-based club team since 2005.

“The Lake Travis volleyball program has achieved tremendous success over the past several years,” Lake Travis principal Kimberly Brents said in a press release. “I am confident Jennifer’s vast experiences and success in the classroom and on the court will have an immediate impact on our students and our extracurricular programs.”

At Lake Travis, Kazmierski will inherit a loaded Lake Travis team that will be a heavy favorite to defend its Class 4A championship. All-Central Texas honorees Amy Neal, Katy Beals, Sierra Patrick and Mackenzie Mayo were all juniors this past season.
