Expect the Lake Travis-Westlake rivalry to get even bigger this fall.

According to a Westlake Picayune report, the Cavaliers and Chaparrals will open their seasons against each other on Aug. 27 at Darrell K. Royal Texas Memorial Stadium. Lake Travis will be the home team in August while Westlake will be the home team when the two schools meet on the University of Texas campus in 2011.

Lake Travis has won the last two rivalry games by the combined score of 80-38. Westlake, however, was the last team to beat Lake Travis, upending the Cavaliers in 2007.

Winners of three straight state championships, Lake Travis will enter the 2010 season with a 46-game winning streak. The Cavaliers will be led by quarterback Michael Brewer, a Texas Tech pledge, and offensive lineman Taylor Doyle, who has verbally committed to Texas.

Westlake went 13-3 last season and reached the Class 5A, Division I title game.
