A storm that moved through Central Texas on Tuesday evening caused hail in Burnet County and dumped more than an inch of rain in New Braunfels, according to the National Weather Service.

Robert Blaha, a meteorologist with the service, said he received a few reports of quarter-size hail in Burnet County, but the sheriff's office there said no damage had been reported.

The rain mostly missed Austin, dumping less than half an inch around town, he said.

Wind gusts in Austin got up to 45 mph at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, causing another red flag warning about high wildfire danger to be issued until early this morning.

As the storm moved southeast, New Braunfels received more than an inch of rain, Blaha said.

Rain chances will pick up again this afternoon , with a 20 percent of showers.
