Gathering storms brining rain to Austin

A slightly different setup for Austin's next cold front is developing across Northern Mexico as an upper level low pressure system is rolling toward Texas.

Abundant moisture is going to be concentrated over Central Texas and could develop into thunderstorms by late Monday and in some cases, could be severe, according to the KXAN weather team.

Locally heavy rainfall, damaging winds and lightning can be expected in storms like these, and up to 2 inches of rainfall can be expected.

Skies are expected to clear by tomorrow evening and cool, dry weather is expected through the rest of the week.
