Last Thursday, 5 kayaks were reportedly stolen from the community racks at a neighborhood park on Lake Austin in Texas. Among the kayaks that were stolen were a Scupper Pro, and a Tarpon 100. Both were locked to the racks with Lasso kayak cable locks, but a bolt cutter was used to cut through the cables.

The suspect attempted to sell some of the kayaks on Craigslist later that same day. Though the identity of the suspect is known by authorities, the suspect cannot be arrested without having the kayaks in his possession.
