Dell investing $15M in Buffalo institute

Dell Inc. is investing $15 million to support a new health care informatics institute at the University at Buffalo, part of the State University of New York System.


CEO Michael Dell was in New York for the announcement Thursday.

Dell is providing computers and services for the institute, which will focus on using information technology to analyze and share patient information. Dell became the country's leading provider of information technology services to health care when it acquired Perot Systems Corp. last year.
