Two separate special events set for Thursday night and Sunday night will affect traffic downtown. Drivers should try to avoid Cesar Chavez Street between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m.

The street will be partially closed from MOPAC to San Antonio Street for the 5K "Moonlight Margarita Run." Only one will be open in each direction, likely causing back-ups and congestion.

Full road closures will be on Stephen F. Austin Drive from Cesar Chavez Street to Veteran's Drive, then up to Atlanta Street and Lake Austin Boulevard.

Parking lots will be available for participants and spectators at Austin High School and MOPAC overflow lots south of Town Lake.

On Sunday, "Sixth Summer Movie" happens at noon through Monday at 2 a.m. along San Jacinto Boulevard between East 6th Street and East 5th Street. In case of rain, the event will be postponed to Sunday, Aug. 15 at 12 noon to Monday, Aug. 16 at 2 a.m. in the same location
