Business booming along Lake Travis this hoilday weekend

Big crowds at Lake Travis meant big money for businesses this Memorial Day holiday.

"The money has just been crazy," said Tommy Abeita, a water at Carlos and Charlie's. "You're having to literally walk over people to get your drinks, to serve your drinks."

Restaurant manager John Jewett said the crowds were bigger than he expected. "It's a little bigger. It's solid. You know the lake's a little low, but it's coming back up and we think it's going to be a great summer."

The lake was bustling with boaters and swimmers all day Monday. Many came to local restaurants to cool off and cool down as the sun set.
