The LCRA is seeking community input on its Water Supply Resource Plan through March 19. The plan is designed to prepare for firm water needs of cities, businesses and industries through the year 2100. The LCRA defines firm water as the amount of water that can be supplied from the Highland Lakes and Lower Colorado River in case of a drought equivalent to the worst drought of record in the 1950s. To take part in the survey, visit www.lcra.org/watersupply and read the draft of the Water Supply Resource Plan and Fact Sheet. Then click on “Take the survey by March 19” to fill out an online questionnaire.

The survey allows the public to give input on which supply strategies to focus on. While there are several options, they vary in costliness.
