Travis County officials are investigating the death of one person Sunday in western Travis County.

According to Roger Wade with the Travis County Sheriff's Department, the victim was discovered in Lake Travis near Whippoorwill Trail.

Wade says it is early in the investigation and that little information is known at this time.

The identity of the victim is unknown at this time.
