Lake Travis school district Deputy Superintendent Diane Frost has
been named the lone finalist for the position of Superintendent of
Schools for the Corsicana school district. The unanimous vote was made
by the Corsicana Board of Trustees at their Thursday meeting.
“I am thankful to the Corsicana ISD Board of Trustees for the
confidence and support they have afforded me,” Frost said. “I look
forward to working with the staff and community of this outstanding
district. I have enjoyed working in Lake Travis ISD, and I am very
appreciative for the opportunities and experiences I’ve had during my
time here. These will serve me well as I move into the superintendent
position in Corsicana. I will carry many special memories and
friendships with me.”
Prior to beginning her tenure in Lake Travis in 2006, Frost served as
interim superintendent for the Carroll school district in Southlake.
Frost, who began her professional career as a language arts teacher,
special education teacher, and coach, possesses 26 years of experience
in education serving in various positions at the public school,
university, and service center levels.
“When Dr. Frost came to LTISD, she shared her interest in becoming a
superintendent,” said LTISD Superintendent Dr. Rocky Kirk. “She is on
her way to reaching this career goal. We share Diane’s excitement as she
prepares to take the next step in her career, and appreciate her
service to our district.”
Corsicana is located approximately 45 minutes southeast of Dallas.
With roughly 5,700 students and 800 staff members, Corsicana is a 4A
district located in a community of about 25,000. The district consists
of four elementary campuses, one dual language campus, one intermediate
school, one middle school, one high school, and one alternative
education campus.
