It was a scary start to a busy Memorial Day weekend at Lake Travis.

A large, three-story house burned to the ground after catching fire around 4:00 a.m. Saturday.

Neighbors tell KVUE News that the house had been under construction, and no one was living there.

The house was fully involved by the time firefighters arrived.

It is located near Emarald Point Marina, and the popular Carlos'N Charlie's restaurant and bar on the lake.

No injuries were reported.

Officials do not yet know the cause of the fire.
