Down City Park road, on the banks of lovely Lake Austin, there is a place many believe to be burger Nirvana- Ski Shores Waterfront Café.



If you have never been, you must go- now. It is a small, funky, totally casual Austin burger joint. It is wonderfully cool under the mammoth Cypress trees that shade the deck, and the breeze blowing off Lake Austin helps keep things comfortable even in 100 degree heat. The view of gorgeous Lake Austin simply cannot be beat. Ski Shores famous Border Burger, with cheese, grilled onions, jalapenos and guacamole is what many in Austin consider the best burger in the universe, without exception. There are garden burgers, fish sandwiches and even (really good!) pizza on the menu if burgers are not your thing.

Beer and wine are available for your adult beverage enjoyment.

There is live music at Ski Shores every Friday and Saturday night, from 6:30pm to about 9:30pm and on Sundays from 5:30pm to about 8:30pm.

It’s a bit of a drive, but the great food, live music and fabulous view are worth it.

Make a day of it and rent a boat or a jet ski for a few hours from Aquaventures Watercraft Rental in Westlake and drive it down to Ski Shores for lunch or dinner.
