TRAVIS COUNTY, TX -- Firefighters are investigating an overnight fire at Los Pinos Mexican Restaurant on Hudson Bend Road near Lake Travis.

The fire broke out around 3 a.m., and firefighters say it started in the attic.  As a result, the building sustained mostly interior damage.

3 firefighters were hurt while fighting the fire when a piece of wood from the structure fell on them.  Two were taken to the hospital as a precaution and checked out for neck and back injuries.  They were released a short time later and are expected to make a full recovery.  A third firefighter sustained injuries to his hand.

The restaurant is popular among locals. Several showed up for breakfast and lunch.

"We've been coming here for 4 or 5 years. [I'm] very surprised. Great family restaurant. We really love this place, probably come here once a week so," said Andrew Curtis Wellings. "There's no place like this"

Renovations have begun. Workers estimate it will take at least 90 days to make all necessary repairs.

No word yet on a cause.
