Austin is off to another week of above-100 degree “heat index,” or “feels like” temperatures, with a chance for rain today and again later in the week, according to the National Weather Service.

Today, we could see a heat index of 103, the service said.

This afternoon, we’re looking at a 30 percent chance for rain, and we’ll see a mostly cloudy day with an actual high of 95, the service said. Winds are between 5 and 10 miles an hour, the service said.

Tonight, the chance for rain declines to 30 percent with a low of 76, the service said.

We’ll see more actual highs in the mid-90s and heat index values of above 100 in the coming days, with a slight chance for rain showing up in the forecast again on Wednesday and Thursday, the service said.
