The Lake Travis 7on7 squad is taking part in one of the first attempts at a regional tournament that pits states’ best teams against each other.

Tomorrow night at the Cotton Bowl, the Cavaliers will be one of eight teams battling for bragging rights among Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma. The teams each recently qualified for the event in local tournaments. Lake Travis edged out Georgetown in the Austin qualifier.

It will also be the first time Lake Travis quarterback Michael Brewer plays on the Cotton Bowl field since his dad, former Texas quarterback Robert Brewer, played his final game there in a 1982 win over Alabama.
