The annual Lake Travis Underwater and Shoreline cleanup is set for Sunday, but Lakeway Marina couldn't wait to get started and started cleanup on Friday.

This is the 15th year the Colorado River Foundation, the Lower Colorado River Authority, Keep Austin Beautiful and Texas County Parks have combined resources to clean up the lake.

Volunteers at the Lakeway Marina spent the day gathering seven tons of garbage, everything from old cables to sinks, washing machines and other surprises.

"There was a corner of something that might have been a boat. My son went under in dive gear, took one of the work barges and a wench and he slid a full sized 1959 ski boat from our ship's door -- which was under our ship's door, about to be sitting on it by the way," said Janet Cylor, owner, Lakeway Marina.
