Confused guests of the Volente Beach Water Park in Western Travis County are calling the water park, think it’s closed and asking for refunds on purchased season passes.
The president of the water park wants to remind everyone that it’s open and it’s business as usual there.
The water park sits on five acres along the shores of Lake Travis. The person who owns that land and the nearby Volente Marina has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. But that hasn’t affected the operations of the water park. The president of the park called KVUE News Friday. He said guests are calling, mistakenly thinking the water park in closed. Rick Redmond tells KVUE News the water park is open and is not affected by the business troubles of the landlord.
